A small and relatively new vineyard, Coldharbour has a huge amount to offer.
The vineyard is situated on the South Downs in West Sussex, where it was planned and planted in 2005 by the owners of Nyetimber before passing hands in 2011. The vineyard staff are all ex-Nyetimber employees, and the wine is made at the Wiston Estate by the brilliant Dermot Sugrue, who is also ex-Nyetimber!
Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes are grown over 22 acres of chalky downland and the sparkling wine is made it the traditional way.
Available and drinking now, there is a 2011 Rosé and an NV Classic Cuvée (actually from a single vintage in 2013). The Rosé has already won a couple of awards but the Classic Cuvée only became available in the last couple of months.
