Bride Valley - Blanc de Blancs 2013 - Case of 6
A crystal clear Blanc de Blancs that shows the chalky soil and freshness from a light vintage, and very young vines. The palate is fruity with hints of brioche, a lean citrus edge on the palate with fine mousse and racy acidity.
Grape Varieties: 95% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Meunier
England had a later harvest in 2013 than 2012 due to delayed budburst, following the long, cold winter earlier in the year, and subsequent later flowering. The long, warm summer provided ideal conditions for healthy development of both the vines and fruit. But the cooler autumn and particularly rain added to the delay in the start of harvest. High acidity has meant that 2013 was an excellent vintage for sparkling wines.
